Privacy Policy
FitDesk is built to respect your privacy. We do not require an account, we do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name or email, and we do not sell your data. This page explains the limited data that is processed when you visit, including cookies and third-party advertising.
Information we do and do not collect
FitDesk does not ask for your name, email address, health profile, workout history, or precise location. The follow-along workout timer runs entirely in your browser; your activity inside the timer is not saved on our servers or transmitted to us.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use third-party user-tracking SDKs to build a profile of you across other sites.
Cookies and similar technologies
Some cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) are used to keep the site working and to measure and improve it. These include:
- Essential cookies: required for the site to function. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics cookies: used to understand aggregate usage in a privacy-respecting way (see the Analytics section).
- Advertising cookies: used by our advertising partner (Google) to serve and measure ads. You can manage these in your browser settings or via Google's Ads Settings.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.
Advertising
FitDesk participates in Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com) or www.aboutads.info. Opting out does not remove ads; it only limits personalization.
We do not control the cookies placed by third-party advertisers and are not responsible for their data practices. The presence of third-party ads does not create a relationship between you and FitDesk.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Insights to understand aggregate, anonymized traffic. This is a cookie-less, privacy-friendly analytics service provided by our hosting provider. It does not track you across other websites.
Technical server logs
Our hosting provider may process limited server logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp, for security and reliability. These logs are retained only as long as needed and are not used to identify you personally.
Your choices (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” of your personal information. Because FitDesk does not sell personal information, no opt-out is required; however, you may still request deletion of any incidental data held about you by contacting us.
Children's privacy
FitDesk is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The “Last updated” date at the bottom of this page indicates when it was last revised.
